สำหรับคอหนังแล้วมีอีเวนต์ด้านภาพยนตร์งานหนึ่งที่หลายๆ คนเฝ้ารอติดตาม ซึ่งอีเวนต์นั้นจะเป็นงานอะไรไปไม่ได้นอกจาก ‘The Academy Awards’ หรือ ‘Oscar’ (ออสการ์) ชื่อที่เราคุ้นหู ซึ่งในปี 2023 นี้งานประกาศผลรางวัลสูงสุดของโลกภาพยนตร์จะจัดขึ้นเป็นครั้งที่ 95 ในวันที่ 13 มีนาคม 2566 ณ โรงละครดอลบี้ (Dolby Theatre) ลอนแอนเจลิส โลเคชั่นสุดไอคอนิกที่อยู่คู่กับออสการ์มายาวนาน
ในปีนี้นอกจากลุคพรมแดงของเหล่านักแสดงแล้วเรียกว่างานประกาศผลรางวัลออสการ์ครั้งนี้นั้นน่าติดตามและเฝ้ารอมาก เพราะลิสต์รายชื่อนักแสดงที่เข้าชิงรางวัลสำคัญนี้เปิดรับกับความหลากหลายมากๆ โดยเฉพาะการเป็นครั้งแรกในรอบ 95 ปีที่งานประกาศผลรางวัลนี้มีนักแสดงเอเชียคนแรกได้เข้าไปร่วมชิงรางวัลนักแสดงนำหญิงยอดเยี่ยม (Best Lead Actress) ซึ่งเธอคนนั้นก็คือ Michelle Yeoh (มิเชล โหย่ว) นักแสดงหญิงสัญชาติจีนชื่อดังผู้เข้ามาโลดเล่นในวงการฮอลลีวูดตั้งแต่ปลายๆ ยุค 90s
ในปีนี้ด้วยการแสดงอันโดดเด่นของมิเชลในภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Everything Everywhere All At Once ทำให้เธอได้เข้าไปชิงรางวัลและคว้ารางวัลนักแสดงนำหญิงยอดเยี่ยมในหลายๆ เวทีมาแล้ว และผนวกกับมูฟเมนต์ #StopAsianHate ทำให้การเข้าชิงครั้งแรกของเธอบนเวทีอันสูงสุดนี้ถูกบันทึกในหน้าประวัติศาสตร์ Oscars และเรียกความสนใจจากคอภาพยนตร์และผู้คนทั่วโลกให้มาเฝ้าลุ้นว่าผลรางวัลนำหญิงฯ จะพลิกโผไหมหรือจะตกไปเป็นของ Cate Blanchett จากภาพยนตร์เรื่อง Tár คู่แข่งที่น่ากลัวอีกคน
